Logical Workshop

'Logic & Games', Kazimierz Dolny 2006

Logical Workshops have been organized since 2000 mostly as a summer time science activity for students of philosophy and mathematics from Warsaw who are interested in formal logic. This year we decided to open our meeting to a broader audience and invite speakers from other countries. Logical Workshop 2006 will take place in Kazimierz Dolny, Poland and is organized in cooperation with Institute of Philosophy, Warsaw University and Institute for Logic, Language and Computation, University of Amsterdam.
The main goal of the Workshop is to bring all the people interested in logic and game theory together to exchange their experience and to share their knowledge with students. The Workshop is open to all who are interested in participation. There is no conference fee, all you have to pay is your own travel and accommodation expenses (see the Kazimierz section for detailed information).

Past editions of workshops

Previous editions of workshops took place at the beginning of summer holidays in: Słupsk (2000), Lutowiska (2001), Załęcze Wielkie (2002), Głodówka (2003), Elbląg (2004), and Bukowina Tatrzańska (2005). The workshops were devoted to the problems lying in the scope of our interests, i.e.: finite and classical model theory, computational complexity, models for arithmetic. However, there were also lectures on set theory, modal logic, group theory, mathematical linguistics, recursive functions and other. Choosing topics for workshops we were strongly motivated by cognitive and philosophical reasons.
